650 were yarded in Murgon Tuesday with prices cheaper for all descriptions.  Export cattle and heifers seemed to be the most effected.  The combination of an end of season flush as well as wide areas of very dry conditions have caused a glut of numbers onto the market.  Numbers were drawn from Mt Perry, Eidsvold, Gayndah, Binjour, Nanango, Kilkivan & locally.  Heavy Bulls sold to $2.34 c/kg.  Bullocks topped at $2.55 c/kg and $1620.00.  The best Cows over 500 kg sold to $2.05 c/kg and $1280.00.  Most Cows in the 400 – 500 kg bracket sold from $1.80 - $1.90 c/kg.  Heavy Feeder steers sold to $2.66 c/kg for $1350.00.  517 kg Droughtmaster steers a/c J & M Farming Wooroonden sold to $2.63 c/kg for $1360.00.  A draft of 40 Charbray weaner steers a/c R & F Nichol Eidsvold sold for an average of $963.00 at $3.16 c/kg, the lead pen selling for $1132.00.  P & A Dingle Mt Perry sold Braford cross weaner steers for $3.11 c/kg and $780.00.  Droughtmaster weaner steers from Tansey sold for $796.00 at $3.06 c/kg.  260 kg Angus cross weaner steers sold to $780.00 and $2.97 c/kg.   Feeder heifers topped at $2.45 c/kg, most selling in the $2.25 - $2.35 c/kg bracket.  430 kg Droughtmaster cross heifers from Murgon sold to $1015.00 at $2.32 c/kg.  Charbray heifers from Tansey weighing 310 kg sold to $730.00 at $2.35 c/kg.  238 kg Droughtmaster weaner heifers sold to $2.69 c/kg for $640.00.  The next Murgon sale is on Tuesday the 8th of May at 8.00 am.
