1050 were yarded in Murgon today. Export cattle sold strongly particularly heavy well finished Cows. Bullocks and heavy heifers also saw improvement. Bulls remained firm. Better quality feeder steers also sold to dearer rates. The weaner cattle yarded were of very mixed content and values were similar to the previous sale sale. Bullocks sold to $4.36 c/kg and $3056.00.  Bulls topped at $3.80 c/kg for $3540.00. Heavy Cows sold to $3.76 per kilogram and $2380.00. Cows 400 to 500kg sold to $3.54 for $1780.00. Lighter Cows under 400 kg sold to $3.38 & $1320.00.  The top of the export heifer market was $4.16 c/kg and $2400.00. Steers 400 to 500kg sold to $4.96 per kilo and $2370.00. Steers in the 300 to 400 kg bracket sold to a top of $4.94 c/kg and $1840.00.  Heifers 400 to 500 kg sold to $4.16 and $1940.00. The market for heifers in the 300 to 400kg bracket topped at $3.94 per kilo and $1600.00. Better quality weaner steers sold to $5.18 per kilo for $1340.00.  The best of the weaner heifer market was $3.94 and $1070.00.

1180 were yarded in Murgon today. Most Export cattle sold to dearer rates as well as better quality feeder steers and heifers. Better quality weaner steers were also dearer in places. Weaner heifers remained firm on the last sale.  Few heavy finished bullocks were yarded, the better end selling to $4.20 c/kg and $2330.00.  Bulls topped at $3.60 c/kg for $3310.00. Heavy Cows improved selling to $3.66 per kilogram and $2520.00. Cows 400 to 500kg sold to $3.16 for $1455.00. Lighter Cows under 400 kg sold to $2.96 & $1090.00.  Export heifers were also noticeably dearer topping at $4.28 c/kg and $2800.00. Steers 400 to 500kg sold to $4.60 per kilo and $2280.00. Steers in the 300 to 400 kg bracket sold to a top of $4.68 c/kg and $1700.00.  Heifers 400 to 500 kg sold to $4.28 and $2090.00. The market for heifers in the 300 to 400kg bracket topped at $3.66 per kilo and $1350.00. The best of the weaner steers sold to $4.96 per kilo for $1320.00.  Weaner heifers topped at $3.94 and $1100.00.

Numbers were back to 600 for Murgon’s liveweight sale yesterday. Values for Export cattle improved slightly in places. Feeder and restocker cattle sold to firm values based on the last sale.  Few Bullocks were yarded selling to $4.24 c/kg and $2680.00. Bulls topped at $3.54 c/kg for $3020.00. Cows over 500kg sold to $3.48 per kilogram and $2250.00. Cows 400 to 500kg sold to $3.25 for $1550.00. Light Cows under 400 kg sold to $2.70 & $930.00.  Export heifers topped at $3.72 c/kg and $1950.00. Steers 400 to 500kg sold to $4.68 per kilo and $2307.00. Steers in the 300 to 400 kg bracket also topped at $4.68 c/kg and $1840.00.  Heifers 400 to 500 kg sold to $3.85 and $1740.00. The market for heifers in the 300 to 400kg range topped at $3.70 per kilo and $1390.00. The best of the weaner steers sold to $5.18 per kilo for $1580.00.  Weaner heifers sold to a top of $3.80 and $1190.00.  A Limited number of Cows & Calves sold to $2100.00.
