Most descriptions sold to very firm values, with some slight increases in backgrounding cattle depending on quality. Bullocks sold to $4.70 c/kg for $2664.00. Bulls topped at $3.98 c/kg for $3550.00. Cows over 500kg sold to $3.96 per kilogram and $2740.00. Cows 400 to 500kg sold to $3.88 for $1670.00. Light Cows under 400 kg sold to $2.90 & $980.00. Export heifers topped at $4.40 c/kg and $2330.00. & $1310.00.

Agents yarded 1600 Tuesday for the fortnightly liveweight sale. The quality of the cattle definitely determined the pricing. Export cattle sold to a fully firm market. Feeder steers and heifers were slightly easier as were lighter heifers. Better quality weaner steers remained fully firm on the last sale. Bullocks sold to $4.68 c/kg for $2660.00. Bulls topped at $3.95 c/kg for $3410.00. Cows over 500kg sold to $4.00 per kilogram and $2300.00. Cows 400 to 500kg sold to $4.02 for $1980.00. Light Cows under 400 kg sold to $3.78 & $1380.00. Export heifers topped at $4.42 c/kg and $2390.00. Steers 400 to 500kg sold to $4.86 per kilo and $2060.00. Steers in the 300 to 400 kg bracket topped at $5.04 c/kg and $1810.00. Heifers 400 to 500 kg sold to $4.40 and $2180.00. The market for heifers in the 300 to 400kg bracket topped at $4.20 per kilo and $1560.00. The best of the weaner steers sold to $5.48 per kilo for $1470.00. Better quality weaner heifers topped at $4.48 and $1180.00. A single Limousin Cow & Calf unit sold for $3500.00.
